Jonathan Amaral is a household name for any PUBG Mobile or BGMI fan that has been remotely following the esports and content ecosystem for the past three years. Jonathan has gained popularity amidst the masses which make him one of the biggest content creators in India but apart from that, his list of achievements just might overwhelm you.

Jonathan started his journey with Team Entity back in 2019 and his team has been one of the very few rosters in India to keep their core intact while changing some additional players. Jonathan has achieved a lot with Team Entity, TSM and now GodLike Esports.

Jonathan (Johnny) was named as MVP multiple number of times in his three year long journey. He has racked thousands of competitive kills and hundereds of chicken dinners in tournaments. His ability to stack up so many MVP titles along with Top Fragger ones is a testimony to the title of “hacker” that he has ironically gained over his esports career.

Jonathan Jude Amaral was born in Goa on September 21, 2002 to Jude Amaral, a businessman and Leticia Noronha Amaral, a housewife. He belongs to a Christian family and has grown up with his sister name Larisa Amaral, an air hostess. His family moved to Mumbai in the late Years. To complete his studies, he went to St.Stanislaus High School in Mumbai. While pursuing his degree in Commerce he went to college for higher studies. Ever since his childhood he loves gaming and likes ton play play station games more. Jonathan started playing Pubg from season 2, his first phone was iphone 5 in which he used to play the game. Jonathan loved the game and in the early days he came to know that he could make a career in gaming and started to focus and improve his gameplay.

Ghatak from Entity gaming got an eye on Jonathan’s gameplay. He felt that he could make a mark in gaming industry. Then Jonathan joined entity gaming the first roster he was playing under was Ghatak and the lineup was Ghatak, Jonathan, Neyoo, Aman and Viru. Later, after some tournaments Viru and Aman left entity gaming and Clutchgod and Zgod joined with them, and these five are together for past three years. The team name might have changed but the players and their synergy remains the same till date.

Jonathan started his Hockey career in 2012 – 2013. But since his childhood, he was very fond of playing e-sports games and loved playing hockey. During his schooling, he has played many hockey tournaments from his school team. He has had a special attraction towards sports since he was a child.

In 2014, Jonathan achieved trophies playing an MSSA Hockey tournament from his school team. He was a very well talented and natural hockey player. But things are changed, he never thought that one day he would become the most popular e-sports player in India.

Jonathan started his youtube channel on 25 february 2018. The reason was his good game play when players used to call him hacker, he wanted to show them that it’s legit skills and started streaming scrims and tournaments, Jonathan used to beat the players across the smoke. After starting to stream, his career entirely changed and he has seen a humongous growth till date at such a short age. Now he has over 4.8 million subscribers on Youtube and 2.1 million followers on Instagram.

In the beginning, he was the main player in a clan called Skul Clan (Skul_Jonathan) and played with his friend Ashish and Sylvestone, AJ. He started learning techniques and getting improved his skills day by day. He realised that he could make his career on Youtube by playing games.

His career progressed after the PMCO Spring Split India 2019 tournament was held in Delhi. Their team had missed out on the semifinals by just 2 points. At that time ORB team’s (which are ranked 6th) main IGL Abhijeet Andhare aka Ghatak noticed his amazing skills and playing techniques. He offered Jonathan to join their team and later he accepted his offers.

In a recent interview with Man’s Life India, Co-founders of S8UL Esports MortaL and Thug were asked to select one person, from anywhere in the world, to join S8UL Esports. Thug instantly replied that he would pick JONATHAN to join the organization. Following this, MortaL replied that he would also pick JONATHAN if he had to pick someone from India.
