The table-leading Gujarat Titans will visit Rajasthan Royals in their next IPL 2023 reverse match on Friday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Both clubs will be keen to get back to winning after losing their previous games.
The IPL 2022 champions continued their strong play into this season and appeared to be the side to beat once again. Sanju Samson‘s RR and Hardik Pandya’s GT appear to be the front-runners in the playoff race. It will be the last game before rivalry week in the IPL in 2023.
Due to the balance this squad has and the manner it is playing as a whole, former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri has supported Gujarat Titans as the IPL 2023 champions.
Ravi Shastri remarked on Star Sports’ Cricket Live, “Looking at the current form and team standings, I believe Gujarat will win the trophy.” This team is reliable and adaptable, and seven to eight guys routinely deliver strong work. The Gujarati team’s players work well together.”
The former head coach of India, Shastri, has also lauded Sanju Samson’s leadership for RR and expressed his great admiration for how the wicketkeeper-batter is managing his spin trio of R Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Adam Zampa in IPL 2023.
Ravi Shastri, who was speaking on Star Sports’ Cricket Live also said ”Sanju Samson has improved as a skipper, He makes good use of his spinners. Playing with three spinners and using them strategically can be only done by a good captain.”
