Meanwhile in the pace department, the trio of Deepak Chahar, Rajvardhan Hangargekar and impact player for the 2nd match Tushar Deshpande looked even more pale with the Yellow jersey on. Chahar went for 55 runs without getting a wicket while Hangargekar bowled 2 expensive overs conceding 24 and Deshpande did pick 2 wickets but had an economy rate of 11.25 in 4 overs.

For once, Dhoni can ignore this and back his bowlers all the way but Thala cannot accept bowling extra deliveries likes wides and no-balls. From Chahar to Deshpande, everyone is under scrutiny. The latter bowled 5 Wide balls last night at Chepauk which included 3 consecutive extras in the 17th over.

His young deputes have accounted for 16 extra runs due to 11 Wide balls and 5 No balls. Deshpande has bowled 5 no balls and 4 wides in Two games while Hangargekar has 6 wides and a No ball. Barring the 16 runs, opposition batters have converted free hits into biggies as CSK conceded 14 runs off free-hits.
Csk has to bring Pretorius even if Stocks is sitting out or Conway and you can't bowl death overs from Chahar or Tushar Deshpande.

And MS Dhoni says 30 extra runs are too much and if it stays consistent then the Pacers will have to play under a new Captain going forward.
“One more thing is they will have to bowl maybe no no-balls and less wides. Because we are bowling too many extra deliveries. Or they will have to be ready to play under a new captain at some point of time. It will be my second warning and I’ll be off.” – said Dhoni with a smirk on his face.
