After enduring a defeat in an enthralling game against Kings XI Punjab, Royal Challengers Bangalore are up against Rajasthan Royals in Match 33 of IPL 2020. Despite the defeat in their previous game, RCB are well placed in the third position with 10 points and will look to add two more points to the tally with a victory.

Rajasthan Royals also endured a morale-crushing defeat in their previous game against Delhi Capitals. Even in the reverse fixture, Rajasthan Royals lost the game to RCB where Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli score half-centuries. Rajasthan Royals have to re-assess the strategy before the game kicks-off.

Virat Kohli was left bemused by Mohammad Siraj’s bowling which put the Bangalore outfit on the back foot. He was the weak link against KXIP and with conditions changing in UAE, Virat Kohli might turn towards a spinner or an all-rounder ahead of the Rajasthan Royals game.

Here are the top three picks for Royal Challengers Bangalore before they lock their horns with Rajasthan Royals on Saturday:

#1) Virat Kohli

The skipper of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli completed his 200th game for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the previous game against Kings XI Punjab. However, the result didn’t go his way and RCB lost the match in the final ball. However, his 48 run innings was criticized as it was a bit slow.

Despite the odds and criticisms, Virat Kohli is one of the top three picks for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Rajasthan Royals. In the reverse fixture, Virat Kohli found his form with an unbeaten half-century. Against RR, Virat Kohli will look to repeat the same performance.

#2) AB de Villiers

Ab de Villiers

The Protean batsman was demoted down the order as RCB wanted to maintain left hand-right hand combination on the strip. However, the plans failed and ABD came at No 6. AB de Villiers couldn’t capitalize on the situation and gave away his wicket, resulting in a smaller total for KXIP to chase. He would have re-assessed his plans and would like to change the fortunes as soon as possible for RCB.

Against Rajasthan Royals, AB de Villiers will be one of the top three picks as the player is dangerous anywhere in the batting order. RCB will hope a good match-winning inning from the Protean.

#3) Chris Morris

In the past seasons, bowling and lower-order batting was a concern for RCB. But the addition of Morris seems to have addressed the issues. In the previous game when RCB looked to be restricted below 160, Chris Morris played a cameo which allowed RCB to defend a decent total at Sharjah.

Chris Morris has been a decent bowler at death and powerplay overs. With RR possessing batsmen like Steve Smith, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes, Chris Morris has a huge role to play for RCB on Saturday.
