After Indian women cricketers ICC T20I rankings came out yesterday, the updated Men’s list was also released today. While spinner Sneha Rana registered her career best ranking, Deepti Sharma dropped a few spots below with Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur also dropping down in the Batters ranking.
As for the Men’s T20I rankings, Indian Captain in the shortest format and premier all-rounder Hardik Pandya moved 1 spot higher to take the 2nd spot with 250 points to his name. Pandya produced electrifying performances against New Zealand and Sri-Lanka in the T20I series held in India last month.
He overtook Afghanistan All-rounder Mohammad Nabi for the 2nd position while Bangladesh Captain Shakib Al-Hasan remains the number 1 All-rounder in the shortest format. Meanwhile, the Gujarat Titans captain did not only improve his ranking in the All-rounders list but also in the Batters rankings.
He moved from 53 to 50 in the Batters ranking while in the bowlers rankings, Pandya jumped 20 spots higher from 66th to 46th. India’s explosive batter Surya Kumar Yadav remains on top of the Batting rankings with 906 points while Pakistan duo Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam take the 2nd and 3rd spot respectively.
Elsewhere, Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh also registered his career best ranking as he moved to 8 spots higher to take the 13th spot with 635 points under his belt. Meanwhile, in the ICC Team rankings, India are still the number 1 side with World champions England in number 2.
Pakistan, South Africa and New Zealand take the 3rd, 4th and 5th spot respectively.
