Football Black List These 3 Premier League stars have been included in the shortlist

Football Black List – the only initiative which honors the talent of Black footballers around the world has shortlisted several acquaintances from the English Premier League. The Black List not only highlights the players but also those who work behind the scenes from technical to a commercial aspect.

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka, Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling and Manchester United number 10 Marcus Rashford are the 3 Premier league players who have been nominated while EPL’s only Black manager Patrick Viera has been nominated for the Coach section.

Burnley’s manager Vincent Kompany, who are playing in the 2nd division has also been included alongside the Crystal Palace head coach. Brentford FC’s non-executive director Deji Davies who is Premier League’s only Black board member and Queen Park Rangers’ Les Ferdinand has also been shortlisted.

The Football Black List is majorly dissected into 8 different categories. It includes Administration, Coaching and management, commercial, community, players, LGBTQ+ alongside media and practitioners. It also honors the U-30 talented players which goes by the name Ugo Ehiogu’s Ones To Watch list.

Leo Mann MBE, Co-Founder of this outstanding initiative spoke upon the list – “We are delighted to be sharing another incredible and inspirational Football Black List. Black excellence shines so brightly in the game and this list underlines that. I am particularly proud to see the list now feature board members, and managers at the top of the game but clearly we still have a long way to go to see better representation in football.”
