Fazalhaq Farooqi early life
Fazalhaq Farooqi was born on 22nd September 2000 and is an Afghan cricketer. He made his international debut for the Afghanistan cricket team in March 2021
Fazalhaq Farooqi Domestic Career
On November 13, 2017, he made his first-class debut for Amo Region in the 2017–18 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament.On July 10, 2018, he made his List A debut for Amo Region in the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament. He was later appointed to Nangarhar’s squad for the first edition of the Afghanistan Premier League tournament in September 2018.
Post his consistent performance he was named in Afghanistan’s under-23 team for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in December 2018.In the 2019 Shpageeza Cricket League, he made his T20 debut with Boost Defenders on October 14, 2019. Fazalhaq was added to the Chennai Super Kings‘ team for the 2021 Indian Premier League as a net bowler later that month. Farooqi also served as the net bowler for Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League’s 2020 edition.
In February 2022, he was purchased by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League.
Fazalhaq Farooqi International Career
Fazalhaq was picked by Afghanistan’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup squad in December 2019. Farooqi was also selected in Afghanistan’s Test team for the series versus Zimbabwe in February 2021.
He was also picked in Afghanistan‘s Twenty20 International (T20I) team for their series against Zimbabwe the following month. On March 20, 2021, he made his T20I debut for Afghanistan against Zimbabwe.
