The FIA concluded that a software glitch caused power losses during formation laps at the Bahrain Grand Prix. The governing body has approved the revised software solution used in Sepang to be retained for the Singapore Grand Prix, should comparable weather conditions arise.
Valtteri Bottas, travelling by bicycle from Malaysia to Singapore for the race weekend, was pursued by dogs, encountered snakes and jumped over a lizard. The Finnish driver described the journey as a series of unexpected wildlife encounters en route to the Grand Prix.
