Dinesh Kumar Biography: Dinesh Kumar is an Indian amateur Light Heavyweight Boxer who has also represented India at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He has 17 Gold, 1 Silver and 5 Bronze medals to his name across India and in abroad as well.
EARLY LIFE:
Dinesh Kumar was born on 25 August 1988 in the Bhiwani district of Haryana. As a small kid, Dinesh wanted to become a professional boxer and even his father supported him in order to achieve his dream.
Dinesh trained in the local Akhada first under the coach and former boxer Jagdish Singh. Later, Jagdish Singh opened his own Boxing Academy in 2003. Dinesh started training under him in his academy Bhiwani Boxing Club.
PERSONAL LIFE: 
Despite his success in the boxing world, Dinesh lives a crestfallen life. During his peak days in boxing, his father took loans from the creditors in order to raise his training bars by sending him to England and different countries.
His elder brother has often expressed distress over the government’s negligence on Dinesh even after his success inside the ring. Dinesh owns a Kulfi stall in Bhiwani. Due to lack of funds to afford his training, Dinesh Kumar has been forced to sell Kulfis in disappointment.
Even his coach Jagdish Singh has appealed to the Government of India to come forward and help him as he has represented the country and illuminated the light of glory for the nation.

Dinesh Kumar had started his career at an early age. He was a quick learner as he went on to win a lot of medals in the junior category in the early days of his career. He was considered the champion of his local area.
Dinesh Kumar has represented the country at various boxing events and won medals for the country with a major one including a silver medal in the 2010 Asian Games.
He also participated in the 2008 Beijing Olympics but unfortunately, he failed to make an impact after he couldn’t win any medal. But during that time he was just 19 years old and everyone hoped that he could be India’s next boxing star.
One day he met an accident and since then he was unwillingly forced to leave boxing due to the injury he had incurred in the accident. As of now, he sells Kulfi in order to come out of debt which his father had taken for his training and treatment after his accident.
