All CSK team members have been tested negative for coronavirus in the recent test that was conducted by the medical team as the news was confirmed by one of the sources within the Franchise.
“All CSK team members who tested positive have now tested negative in the recent test which was conducted by CSK Franchise in Dubai” the source told ANI.
The source reiterated that before players going for training there will be a test which will be conducted again, adding that the health and safety of players is the most important thing that we need to take care of as we are playing cricket in unpleasant time. Its important for us to follow the protocols set by BCCI amid this pandemic time.
On Saturday, BCCI officially confirmed 13 members of CSK camp who were tested positive for COVID-19 which includes two players and 11 support staff members where the name of the players were not disclosed. Later we come to know from media reports It was Deepak Chahar and Ambati Rayudu.
“13 personnel have tested positive of which 2 are players. All the affected personnel as well as thier close contacts are asymptomatic and have been isolated from other team members. They are being monitored by IPL Medical Team” the BCCI had said in an official release.
If this news is true as confirmed by the sources from CSK camp it would have definitely added a sigh of relief to the entire management otherwise it would have added lot of questions that whether CSK camp is following the SOP put in place by BCCI or not.
