According to the recent developments, all the players of CSK, except the 13 members who were tested positive on Friday, have come out negative in the third round of Test for coronavirus. As a result, the franchise shall start training from Friday evening itself. It has come out as a major boost for the league and the franchise. 

All the 13 members, including Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj, who tested positive for the virus, will be tested twice by the end of the next week after the completion of the isolation period. Only then they can step on to the nets.

The training starts from today. All others, apart from the 13, tested negative for the third time. Those who tested positive will only be tested after the isolation period (two weeks) is over,” CSK CEO KS Viswanathan told PTI.

If reports are to be believed, CSK are likely to play the season opener against MI.

The speculations on Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina are still doing the rounds. There has been no confirmation from Harbhajan Singh about the delay in joining the camp. The off-spinner might pull out of this season’s IPL due to personal reasons.

Suresh Raina, on the other hand, pulled out of the IPL 2020 on Friday, citing personal reasons. He later told about the reason for his departure. He also hinted that he might make a comeback in the side.

IPL is due to start on 19th September 2020. The schedule of 2020 is likely to be announced today. The final of the tournament will be played on 10th November 2020.
