Chinglensana Singh Konsham, also known as Sana Singh widely is an Indian professional footballer. Sana Singh was born on November 23, of the year 1996. He plays as a defender for Indian Super League side Hyderabad and the India national team.
Club Career
Born in Manipur, Sana started playing football at the age of seven and played for Mahindra United’s youth setup, Air India under-15, Tata Football Academy, and Sheffield United under-18. In 2016, Chinglensana Singh Konsham signed professional terms with Shillong Lajong in the I-League and made his debut in the club’s opening match against the football club of Mumbai.
Delhi Dynamos signed Sana and Rupert Nongrum on loan for the 2016 Indian Super League season, playing 12 games under coach Gianluca Zambrotta. Sana was primarily a squad player for the football club of Goa in the Indian Super League (ISL) under Lobera, featuring 19 times over three seasons.
In September 2020, Sana signed a two-year deal with Hyderabad, playing a crucial role in the team’s 2021–22 Indian Super League win. Personal Life
Sana’s Churachandpur home was set on fire, destroyed, and pillaged during the unrest in 2023 Manipur. The rioting also destroyed an adjacent football field that he had constructed. Chinglensana Singh Konsham and his family relocated to his uncle’s house in Moirang where they sought safety. For this reason, Chinglensana Singh Konsham withdrew from the Indian football team’s training camp in Bhubaneswar prior to the 2023 Intercontinental Cup.
