Without a doubt, Babar Azam is certainly touted as one of the finest batsman produced by Pakistan.

The ace player is not only struggling with form but failed to deliver match winning performance against Strong Opposition.

The biggest Question which arises, how come a batter which was suppose to be in FAB 5 list, is not only dropped from that list but no one is talking about him in International Cricket.

Let’s Decode Babar Azam Technical Flaws, and what ailing for him in International Cricket to be shared in the below format:

1. Babar is currently falling big time behind the modern day ODI Cricket template, where rest of the players who come in top order in first six over, are scoring 80 runs in 10 overs but Babar and his Pakistan Men are only scoring 40 runs in ODI Cricket.

2. Babar running behind the wickets are not upto the mark, which clearly talks about his game sense in International Cricket.

3. Babar plays outdated cricket for sure which is not the need of an hour for him to succeed in International Cricket & he has to change his natural game and adopt modern template otherwise he will lack big time.

4. Former Pakistani, Cricketer Mohammad Yusuf stated “Babar has stopped learning and he needs to learn and make changes swiftly in his batting and someone needs to talk to him about his technique.

He added that likes of Javed Miandad and Zaheer Abbas would sweep and reverse sweep shots also come down the track easily against spin but Babar is failing big time to play sweep and reverse sweep shots.

5. Former Indian Cricketer and Commentator, Sunil Gavaskar talked to Basit Ali on the latter Youtube channel where he said “Babar needs to curb his stance where he has to balance his stance in such a way and keep it compact so that he can easily manuvere on front foot and back foot. If he will be balanced in his stance, he will get more height to judge the ball and play his shots. With this slight change in his stance, being a top order batsman can easily judge those balls and play his shots effectively”.

6. Azam needs to up his strike rate, and develop his game where he can hit sixes depending on the context of the game otherwise without refined approach in batting may be he will not be able to catch up other batters in Modern Day Cricket.

My Perspective:

It’s Imperative that lots of negativity have been spread against Azam by his own country men and experts, but only way he can respond back to all haters with his impeccable batting performances which he is failing big time at the moment.

With ICC events scheduled from 2024 to 2031 ever year onwards, it would be interesting to see how Azam will return back to form and deliver in the crunch phase of the game.

Pakistan Cricket Team are already out of Champions Trophy 2025, they will be playing their last match today against Bangladesh, today and they would want to finish their campaign with a win but there are high chances of rain if that happens and both team share 1 points each they would feel dejected that on their home conditions they failed big time to even register single victory.
