Babar Azam & Co Welcomes Pakistan-A Team after Emerging Asia Cup Victory

Babar Azam celebrated Pakistan A’s victory against India A on Sunday (July 23) at their team hotel in Colombo. Mohammad Haris led Pakistan A to beat India A by cutting a cake, as seen in a video shared on YouTube. Pakistan team batted first and scored 352-8 in 50 overs. Tayyab Tahir scored 108 off 71 with 12 boundaries and 4 sixes. Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub also hit half-centuries. India A’s Rajvardhan Hangargekar and Riyan Parag starred with the ball, bagging two wickets apiece.

India was all out for 224 in 40 overs after Harshit Rana, Manav Suthar, and Nishant Sandhu each took one wicket. Sufiyan Muqeem was the best bowler for Pakistan, taking 3-66. Mohammad Wasim Jr, Arshad Iqbal, and Mehran Mumtaz each took two wickets. Abhishek Sharma scored 61 off 51 for India.Pakistan A defeated Nepal and United Arab Emirates in the group stage, won against Sri Lanka by 60 runs in the semifinal, and then avenged their earlier eight-wicket loss against India in the final.

Pakistan’s senior team, which is playing a two-match Test series in Sri Lanka, will begin their campaign in the Asia Cup soon. Babar Azam and Co. begin their campaign against Nepal on August 30.
