Early Life

Avinash Singh Manhas, born on January 4th, 1998 (currently 25 years old as of 2023), hails from Jammu and Kashmir and is a Capricorn. In February 2022, he accompanied a friend to Mayank Goswami’s cricket academy, where he caught the attention of the former cricketer and coach due to his impressive bowling style. Goswami was so impressed that he invited Avinash to join his academy. However, Avinash did not return. A week later, a coach from Mayank’s academy was sent to Avinash’s house, but his family refused the offer, citing financial difficulties. Upon hearing of Avinash’s situation, Goswami contacted his father and convinced him to allow Avinash to pursue cricket. Goswami even offered to send him to Canada if he failed to make it big within a year.

After training under Goswami for a few weeks, he was sent to Pune on Mayank’s expenses to train under Ashok Gaikwad for several months. Avinash returned to Jammu and Kashmir in June and began showcasing his skills at the IPL franchise camps of RCB, LSG, and DC.

At one of the Royal Challengers Bangalore camps, Avinash caught the attention of scouts who invited him to join RCB’s training. Avinash impressed the coaches and selectors during the September 2022 RCB trial in Mumbai, where he bowled at a speed of 154.3 kmph. He was also invited to trials for Kolkata, Lucknow, and Delhi franchises, all of which went well. As a result of his outstanding performance, Avinash was bought by RCB for INR 60 lakhs during the IPL 2023 mini auction held in December 2022.

Ten months after he started bowling with a leather ball, Singh was selected to play for the RCB IPL team, despite not having played a single professional cricket match.

According to the recent cricket match records, Aryan played two matches in November 2022. The first match was between EC Railway and Armed Police, where Aryan didn’t get a chance to bat but did bowl and gave away 27 runs. The match took place on November 27th in a T20 match. In the second last match, which was played two days earlier on November 25th, EC Railway faced off against Dhruv CA. Aryan scored two runs while batting and also took a wicket by giving away 22 runs.
