Ace Indian batter Virat Kohli could be back to his absolute best and it is possible that he can drive Australia out of contention from winning the WTC 2023 Final, fears former Captain of Australia Ricky Ponting. The Indian ace batter could be out for revenge after losing the previous WTC final as the captain of team India.

During the recently concluded IPL edition, the 34-year-old experienced his 2nd best season with the bat. He amassed 639 runs in 14 matches, equaling Chris Gayle’s record of most centuries in IPL history on the way. He scored 6 half-centuries and 2 Full-centuries with a season best score of 101 runs.
Ricky Ponting reveals Virat Kohli himself said he is back to his absolute best!
Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting caught up with Virat Kohli during the IPL when DC locked horns with RCB. The former Aussie captain had a long chat with Kohli and during a recent interview with the ICC, Ponting stated that, “I had a good chat with him about his batting and where he is at and his career. And he said to me then that he actually feels like he’s almost to his absolute best.” – Ponting said.
Ponting further said that, “You probably saw that (Kohli’s century against SRH), you know he’s had a very good IPL and i’m sure he will be the prize wicket that all the Australians are looking forward to.”
