Arjun hails from the beautiful city of Chandigarh and is an athlete supported by OGQ. Arjun Babuta has been a part of the Indian sports shooting team since 2016, when he was a very young age. Arjun’s exceptional skill set and the ability to consistently hit the bull’s eye make him a special shooter and an ever-better athlete. He is ranked 18th in the world sports shooting rankings as a men’s 10-meter air rifle shooter.
Early Life
Born in the small village of Fazilka in Punjab, Arjun was a part of a decent family that had enough to eat three times a day peacefully. His precision was always praised, as he was told to take up shooting as a career by many people in his surroundings. Arjun listened to them and immediately fell in love with the rifle and the sport. He completed his studies and practiced shooting alongside. Arjun is personally coached by D.S. Chandel, and his national coach is Deepali Deshpande. Shooting Career
Arjun Babuta’s career in sports shooting has been marked by several awards and victories, demonstrating his outstanding talent and determination. In 2018, he won a bronze medal at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Sydney, marking his first international triumph.
His proficiency in the 10m air rifle event was obvious at the ISSF Junior World Cup 2016 in Gabala, where he won both gold and bronze medals, demonstrating remarkable consistency and talent at such a young age. Adding to his record of accomplishments, Babuta won the silver medal at the 10th Asian Airgun Championship in Wako City, Japan, demonstrating his capacity to compete and excel at the highest levels.
