Apart from India early exit in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021 there were a couple of emotional moments for fans as skipper Kohli was leading the T20 International side for the last time along with Coach Ravi Shastri and support staff Bharat Arun and R Sridhar tenure has also ended with Men in Blue.

Indian skipper Kohli thanked the contribution of Ravi Shastri and support staff on his official Twitter handle where he stated about their contribution for the betterment of Indian cricket.

“Thank you for all the memories and the amazing journey we’ve had as a team with you all. Your contribution has been immense and will always be remembered in Indian cricket history. Wish you the best in moving forward in life. Until next time,” Kohli tweeted.

Under Shastri, Men in Blue played 43 Test matches where they won 25 test and lost 13 matches also India successfully won the test series twice on Australian soil along with giving tough time to England in a five-match Test series which India is leading by 2-1.

Overall Team India played 76 ODIs and 65 T20 International matches under Shastri where Men in Blue managed to win 51 ODI and 43 T20 International match.

India has dominated in bilateral series across SENA nation but failed to win a single ICC trophy and they would certainly want to add this achievement in his resume.

BCCI has roped in former legendary former skipper Rahul Dravid as the new head coach of India and Rohit Sharma has been appointed as the new skipper of India T20 international side and Sharma-Dravid duo is expected to finish the drought of winning ICC trophy which India haven’t won post-2013 Champions Trophy which they lifted under the leadership of talismanic skipper MS Dhoni.
