Akash Chopra names his four overseas players for RCB in the starting XI

Royal Challengers Bangalore is one team which hasn’t quite justified their potential in IPL. Every year, we see a star-studded line-up, but the team fails to put on a good show. For the last few years, they haven’t quite managed to find bowlers with the ability to bowl at the death.

However, this year, the team looks quite balanced, having a great set of players in all the departments. With some great overseas players in their set up, choosing their best four could prove a bit tricky for the team management.

Former Indian cricketer, Akash Chopra, recently picked his best four overseas players in RCB’s playing eleven. While AB de Villiers is a certainty in the eleven, other three picked by the Indian commentators were Moeen Ali, Aaron Finch and Chris Morris.

I feel you can play all three. You can play Finch as an opener, AB de Villiers as a batsman, Moeen Ali and Chris Morris. These will be my four overseas players in the RCB team I would like to make.”

Aaron Finch wants Aaron Finch to open the batting in all the games, while De Villiers would give strength to the middle order. Moeen Ali, who played well last season, should prove to be a great asset this year as well. In Chris Morris, RCB would get a great finisher and can bowl at the death.

If you are an RCB fan, I would say that you play Aaron Finch in all the matches and open with him. There you can go for either Parthiv or Devdutt Padikkal as the opener along with Finch, that is something you may have to decide.

Virat Kohli at 3, AB de Villiers at 4, and Moeen Ali at 5. It sounds very good. At No.6, you will have Shivam Dube, and then you have Chris Morris. So their batting is also looking good. I am feeling that this team is good this year and that they would be doing well,” the commentator concluded.
