Team India recently lost the World Test Championship 2023 Final against Australia by a huge margin. It was a disappointing defeat for the team and the fans, as the team has reached two consecutive finals of the WTC but hasn’t won a single one. Now, the team is all set to play a two-match test series against the West Indies away from home, which is going to be a part of the WTC cycle 2023–25.
After the match was over and analysis of the loss was done, it was found out that the team lost because they were playing in their old-fashioned style and did not try to do something different, which might have failed the strategy of the Aussies and the result could have been different.

Another point that the experts and the fans brought up was that there are no changes in the squad, all the same players are playing, and new players are not getting any chances.
It is to be seen whether the team management and selectors decide to give a chance to some new and younger players who have been performing in domestic cricket for many years now in the two test matches against the West Indies.
It will be interesting to see what strategy the team management and the captain undertake against the Windies. This series can be a good way to give a chance to new players and experiment with different kinds of playing styles in the toughest format of the game.
As per reports, Mohammad Shami is likely to be rested for this tour due to workload management, and Jasprit Bumrah is expected to make a comeback after fighting back from injury.
The probable Indian squad for the West Indies test series looks like the one below.
Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Virat Kohli, Ishan Kishan, Sarfaraz Khan (wk), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammad Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, and Mukesh Kumar
