Why KL Rahul was not selected as a Vice- Captain for last two tests against Australia?

India announced the squad for the two remaining test of Border-Gavaskar trophy between India and Australia. BCCI has released Kl rahul from his role of vice captain of the Indian test team. This decision was taken to give opportunities to young players like Shubman gill. Sources reported that it was Rohit call to choose who will be going to Indian team successor.

Rahul did’nt performed in this series against Australia. In his all innings he was quite confident, and the short selection was poor. Kl has score only 38 runs in his three innings against Australia. Kl Rahul is not a regular wicketkeeper like Rishabh pant or KS Bharat , he also misses the opportunity of playing as a wicketkeeper batsman. Earlier, Rahul was sacked from the vice-captaincy of the team.

Kl Rahul performance in recent times in not to the level in every format. BCCI is looking for new options, many players have shown their skill at international level. Shubman gill, ishan kishan, Rahul tripathi all are trying their best to get in the team.

records in domestic cricket.Earlier this month, Kl Rahul got married to Atthiya Shetty. The couple was in relationship from more than 4 years. They had a grand wedding in Sunil Shetty farmhouse in khandala. After his marriage Rahul quickly came to play the test series against Australia.

Kl rahul has been in limelight in recent not just because of his performance, many fellow cricketers came to support Kl rahul when he was being criticised for his bad form. KL Rahul was appointed as the vice-captain of the Indian cricket team in limited-overs cricket formats (ODIs and T20s) in 2019.

He had then served as the vice-captain in several series and tournaments. Kl rahul has to focus on upcoming Odi series against Australia. Performing well in that series will give him some confidence and a fixed place in World Cup squad.
