Legendary Indian cricketer Virat Kohli explained his position about the verbal altercation with Gautam Gambhir and the handshake dispute with Sourav Ganguly in a letter to the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

Just in case you’re unaware, the event involving Gambhir occurred during their post-match verbal volleys, which is why the star player felt the need to compose a letter about these two incidents.

There was no handshake between Virat Kohli and Ganguly at the conclusion of the game between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore because Kohli appeared angry on the field and had strong replies to Ganguly. This incident became the talk of IPL 2023.

Post this incident these two players unfollowed each other on Instagram.

The verbal spat between Kohli- Gambhir was pretty serious as it cause 100 percent match fee fine on these two players.

Kohli has written letter to BCCI clarifying his instance as the money will be paid by Royal Challengers Bangalore management but the legendary batter is not happy with the fine.

Based on reports in different media outlets, Kohli wrote “I didn’t say anything wrong so I don’t understand why I am being fine 100 percent of my match fees” 

Virat Kohli is pretty animated character on the field where we have seen on most instances he never shy away to give back to opposition.

His statement in post match dressing room video related to Royal Challengers Bangalore explains a lot ” If you can’t take it, don’t say it at all” 

IPL 2023, has already reached towards its penultimate stage and there is close competition between two distinct teams, in terms of points and every team would be keenly looking to fill that gap and reach at the Playoffs stage.

The final match of IPL 2023 will be played on 28th May 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
