Watch : Virat Kohli and Mohammad Siraj imitate Cristiano Ronaldo's celebration against Australia in 1st ODI!

Global footballing icon Cristiano Ronaldo’s stardom is second to none as whatever the Portuguese does, it becomes a trend. He is not just well-known for his goal scoring abilities but also the celebration he does after hitting the goal. Different sports persons have used this celebration in the past and it was on display at Wankhede Stadium as well.

India had welcomed Australia for the 1st ODI and Mohammad Siraj did the first CR7 impression after taking the first wicket. The Hyderabad born pacer pulled off the viral “Siu” celebration of Ronaldo after Siraj clean bowled Aussie opener Travis Head for just 5 runs.

Siraj took advantage of Head’s poor performance in the Indian soil and the Pacer went on to pick 2 wickets more. His last 2 wickets were of the Tailenders – Sean Abott and Adam Zampa but he must have enjoyed himself being a part of bowling attack which restricted the baggy greens for just 188 runs.

Later on in the match, Star Batter Virat Kohli followed Siraj’s lead and pulled off another CR7 celebration. During the match Kohli replicated Ronaldo’s new Peace of mind or Zen celebration and fans have been running wild since then. It was indeed an innings to celebrate from India’s perspective which stopped an extremely dangerous Aussie batting line-up for a very low total.

All-Rounder Mitchell Marsh was Australia’s highest scorer as he scored 81 runs off 65 balls but failed to last longer to reach a safe total. Meanwhile, in the 2nd innings, India’s top-order collapsed in dramatic fashion as Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav could only manage to score 27 runs.

KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja are currently on the crease and have built a strong partnership. It is going to be a crucial match for Rahul who has struggled with his form off late and a match winning knock today could bring him back his respect.
