Maran was ecstatic to see Mayers, undoubtedly the league’s best batter, leave at a bargain. However, the team was unable to profit in the game’s closing moments. A few stills from the match’s latter moments also surfaced, showing Maran’s reactions to be less than amused.

Lucknow Super Giants defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the game by a margin of five wickets, moving them to the top of the IPL 2023 standings at the time. The KL Rahul-led team is in first place with two victories in three games and a respectable Net Run Rate of 1.358. The Sunrisers, on the other hand, have 0 victories in their last two games and a Net Run Rate of -2.867, placing them worst in the league.

Krunal Pandya, a spin all-arounder (3/18), shone with both the bat and the ball. In order to give LSG their second victory of the year, he destroyed the Sunrisers top order, limiting them to a meager 121/8 before striking a crucial 34 off 23 balls.
When Sunrisers decided to bat, things didn’t work out well for them because Krunal killed their captain Aiden Markram, as well as openers Anmolpreet Singh and Mayank Agarwal. Amit Mishra, a seasoned spinner (2/23), claimed two wickets. With 41-ball 35, Rahul Tripathi led the Sunrisers in scoring.
