Watch : Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi invite Australian PM Anthony Albanese for the ICC Cricket World cup 2023!

The 2023 calendar year for Indian cricket is going to be a crucial year as the Men in Blue have an opportunity to land 2 ICC trophies in one year for the first time in their history. As we all know, IPL 2023 is about to come to an end with the Finale set to take place in 4 days time at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 28.

Right after the Final, the Indian cricket team will fly in separate batches to England for the ICC World Test Championship 2023 against the mighty Australians. This is for the 2nd time in a row that India have made it to the WTC final and this time under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, team India will be aiming to put an end to their ICC trophy drought since 2013.

During the first ever WTC final at Southampton in 2021, Virat Kohli led the Indian team to the final but Kane Williamson’s New Zealand won the one-off Test by 8 wickets. This year under new captaincy there is an ever growing hope that team India will avenge the last edition’s loss.

After the WTC final, India will be hosting the ICC Cricket World cup 2023 for the first time in over a decade. The last time India hosted the entire tournament we all know what happened. If Ravi Shashtri’s words do not echo in your ears, i’m sorry to say you are not an Indian cricket fan.

The World cup is all set to get underway from October and conclude towards the beginning of November. The Finale could be played a day before or after Diwali and if India wins the World cup, you can expect plenty of fireworks.

Meanwhile during a recent visit to Australia, Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi after addressing the Indian diaspora situated in the land down under went on to invite Australian PM Mr. Anthony Albanese and countless Australian cricket fans to travel to India for the CWC.

“I invite PM Anthony Albanese and all Australian cricket fans to India for the Cricket World Cup this year. At that time, you will also get to see the grand Diwali celebration in India.”
