MS Dhoni is unarguably one of the greatest sportsman ever to born in India. The man has been a myth for some, a living legend for some and of course, the “Thaala” for some. When it comes to measuring success (in terms of trophies) MSD has no competition whatsoever.
After Kapil Dev, Dhoni is the name to mention and it is the name to chant. Although he has dealt with more failure than success in his International career, something that is so common in a legendary sports-persons life. Yes, it was under his captaincy that India won ICC T20 World cup 2007, ICC Cricket World cup 2011 and ICC Champions Trophy in 2013.
However, since then under his captaincy only, team India crashed out of 2014 T20 World cup and 2015 ICC CWC before relinquishing captaincy and eventually retiring. At the age of 41, he is captaining the CSK and as the noise is wavering around – it could be his final season in IPL.

Although last night at Chepauk his side endured a loss but CSK are still running for a place in the play-offs. And after the match, Dhoni rounded off the night by throwing tennis balls to the fans that packed the entire stadium and also fulfilled a special request by none other than former Indian batting legend Sunil Gavaskar.
It began when Gavaskar asked Dhoni for an autograph and the latter came up with an incredible gesture to sign on Gavaskar’s shirt. The moment was captured in the cameras and it is circulating all around the internet with fans going crazy about it.
It was actually CSK’s final home game of the season and the crowd turned up in numbers to witness Thala for the last time this season. The 41-year-old was seen throwing jerseys and balls. Meanwhile their next IPL fixture is against Delhi Capitals away at the Arun Jaitley Stadium and it is a must win game for them to keep their play-off hopes alive.
