After KL Rahul was dropped from the vice-captain, the Indian Test team felt the lack of the vice-captain in the fourth test match. At this moment, Virat once again stepped forward when he sensed the company Rohit Sharma and Axar Patel were looking for. Indian captain Rohit was seen seeking advice from senior players and then Virat made up for the vice-captain.

It can be seen in the video that has been surfacing on social media that Rohit and Axar Patel were involved into a discussion of where the balls should be pitched in the final day of the fourth test match. At this moment, Virat stepped forward joining the discussion and offered his advice, pointing out to Rohit and Axar the surface area where the ball should be pitched.

Virat Kohli is currently the most experienced player in the team who has also captained the team in all three formats. Although Virat had stepped down as a test captain in January last year, he however understands the team’s requirements and offers what he is capable of. And one of these examples was seen today.

India has won the series by 2-1 despite the final fourth test match having tied. India has won its first two matches in Nagpur and Delhi. Despite the loss in Indore, India made a strong comeback in the fourth match. The match however went to a draw but India has qualified for the world’s test championship as New Zealand defeated Sri Lanka.

India had two ways to qualify for the world test championship. Either they beat Australia by a margin of 3-1 or remain dependent on New Zealand to beat Sri Lanka. India finally qualified for the WTC23 as New Zealand secured a thrilling win over Sri Lanka.

Now India would be taking on Australia for the world test championship match scheduled to play at the oval.
