‘Venkatesh Prasad’ prefers Ishan Kishan over KL Rahul

Right now, team India is on fire as they won the first match of the ODI series against  Sri lanka and gave a remarkable performance. With this win, India is now leading the 3 match ODI series 1-0. As a team, it looks balanced and is consistently performing well. But, when it comes to the individual performances, there might come few players who’s performances has not been satisfying.

KL Rahul: In this aspect, comes the Indian batter KL Rahul, who is the current part of the Indian team and has been the part of the team from a long time. Despite playing on a regular basis for the team, his performances had been consistently poor. Rahul just scored one- fifty in his last four innings he played, including the first ODI against SL in which he just scored a 39 run knock. This shows his lack of consistency and the poor form, he is going through.

Venkatesh Prasad: Team should go for some other more options and give a chance to the new talent rather than giving chances to the same players again & again. Now, this became controversial when the former Indian pacer Venkatesh Prasad jumped into this. He said ‘there are much better players like Ishan Kishan who deserve the chance to play, rather than the non-performing players’.

Ishan Kishan: Ishan Kishan who smashed a double century in his recently played 3rd ODI against Bangladesh was dropped for the 1st ODI against SL, whereas KL Rahul has been picked up despite having a lot of failures. Rahul’s performances had not been satisfactory so far. So, it is important for the team to have such experiments and should give the chance to the inform players like Ishan Kishan. Ishan could be a good replacement for Rahul in the team.
