In cricket, bowlers play a critical role in trying to restrict the opposing team from scoring runs and taking wickets. There have been numerous bowlers who have lifted the status of the game. In the inaugural of WPL, the are numbers of Indian bowler, but there are 5 bowlers that everyone will watch out for this season WPL

*Shikha Pandey: She made her debut for India in a One Day International (ODI) against England in 2014. Since then, she has played 61 ODIs and taken 73 wickets at an average of 24.73. She has also played 43 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and taken 52 wickets at an average of 19.6. Pandey has also represented the Supernovas in the Women’s T20 Challenge, a domestic T20 tournament in India.

In first match of Delhi against RCB, shika wasn’t at her best. She took only 1 Wicket in her spell and gave 35 runs at an economy of 8.8. The next match of Delhi Capitals is against Mumbai Indians.

*Poonam Yadav: Yadav made her international debut in 2013 and has since played in numerous One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for India. Her breakthrough performance came in the 2016 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 tournament, where she took seven wickets in four matches, including a career-best 3/34 against Australia.

Poonam was bought for 30 lakhs by Delhi Capitals. If she gets a chance to play she has to perform her level best to confirm a place in indian side. The veteran played her last Odi match in march last year against Bangladesh.

*Deepti Sharma: Deepti Sharma, an all-rounder who plays for the Indian women’s cricket team, has also played in various franchise cricket leagues around the world.

In the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), Deepti has played for the Sydney Thunder, Western Storm, and the Trailblazers. In the 2020 season of WBBL, she was part of the Sydney Thunder team and played a crucial role with both bat and ball, scoring 190 runs at an average of 38 and taking 12 wickets at an average of 18.25.

Deepti looked quite confident in her first match against Gujarat. She took two wickets in her spell and she was quite economical giving 27 runs by an economy of 6.8. Deepti needs to bes in the same form for the whole tournament, to help Up warriorz lift the title.

*Radha Yadav: Radha has also played in the Women’s Cricket Super League (WCSL) in England, representing the Yorkshire Diamonds in 2019. She took 9 wickets in 8 matches at an average of 20.22. In the Women’s T20. Challenge, a domestic T20 tournament in India, Radha has represented the Trailblazers.

In her first encounter against RCB Radha bowled only 2 overs. She didn’t even complete her spell. During the match she was quite expensive, bowling at an economy of 12.00. Radha has to come up strong in her next match against Mumbai. Radha’s performances in franchise cricket have shown her potential as a quality bowler in the T20 format.

*Sneh Rana– Sneh Rana was a part of the Supernovas team in the Women’s T20 Challenge in 2020 and 2021. She played a crucial role in helping the team win the title in 2020, scoring an unbeaten 22 runs and taking 2 wickets in the final.

In her first match sneh bowled only 2 over. In her spell she only given 16 runs without taking the wicket. Up warriorz has a lot of hope on rana, she provide a dimension of batting too. That helps team in difficult situation.
