T20 is a format where the batsmen have the upper hand, this is a well-known fact. This year in IPL 2024, we have seen some outstanding batting performance as well as highest run chase.

In this match played in Pakistan Super League 2023, Multan Sultans chased 243 runs against Peshawar Zalmi. This match is at fifth place in terms of highest run chase. Apart from this, the Bulgarian team also chased the score of 243 runs in the match played against Sofia in 2022. 

4.Australia vs New Zealand – 244 runs 

The Australian team chased the target of 244 runs against New Zealand in the match played in Auckland in 2018. D’Arcy Short scored 76 runs and David Warner scored 59 runs in 24 balls in that match. Martin Guptill’s century innings had gone in vain. 

3.Middlesex vs Surrey – 253 runs 

In this match played in T20 Blast 2023, Middlesex chased 253 runs against Surrey. Middlesex achieved this huge target in just 19.2 overs.

The T20 match was played between South Africa vs West Indies in Centurion in 2023. In this match, South Africa had created history by chasing 259 runs. Quinton de Kock gave his team a historic victory by scoring 100 runs in 44 balls. 

1.KKR vs Punjab Kings – 262 runs

This is the biggest run chase in T20 history. Playing first, KKR scored 261 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Punjab Kings achieved this target by losing only two wickets in 18.4 overs. Jonny Bairstow scored a tremendous century for Punjab Kings. He played an unbeaten inning of 108 runs with the help of 8 fours and 9 sixes in 48 balls. Prabhsimran Singh scored 54 runs on 20 balls. Whereas Shashank Singh played an unbeaten inning of 68 runs with the help of 2 fours and 8 sixes in 28 balls.
