The Indian Super League (ISL) is renowned for producing young Indian football players who are eager to showcase their talents and reveal their untapped potential. Several young footballers who had tremendous promise over the years have lived up to their potential and earned a name for themselves in the league, earning the admiration of fans around the country. We hope that they will be successful in the future for the Indian national team.

Here is a list of the top 5 players that, in my opinion, would also make an impression at the international level.

Lallianzuala Chhangte (Mumbai City FC): The wing forward Lallianzuala Chhangte managed to score 10 goals in 22 appearances in the ISL’s ninth season. Chhangte has proven to be the best Indian forward in the league because of his clinical finishes and his dribbling skills. He is also an assist maker and has six assists this season.

Lalchungnunga (East Bengal): The center back has been exceptional for his team even though they underperformed and had a miserable season. He made 25 crucial interventions in the 17 appearances he had this season.

Naorem Roshan Singh (Bengaluru FC): Naorem Footballer Roshan Singh, who was born in Manipur, is one of the top defenders in Indian football. Singh is renowned for his versatility. He plays as a left back and has the capability to deliver crosses into the box. He played all the matches for his team this season and made 31 interventions.

SivaSakhti Narayan (Bengaluru FC): The 22-year-old plays as a forward, replacing Sunil Chettri. He has scored six goals and three assists so far in the season, and with his numerous key passes, he is able to keep the attack going. He could be a blessing for the Indian Football team if he continues to perform well and can fill the role of forward goal scorer, which we currently lack.

Narendra Gahlot (Odisha FC): Gahlot has been the heart of Odisha FC’s defense this season. The 22-year-old plays as a center back and has improved a lot throughout the season, ending it on a promising note. He has 27 interceptions and 43 pass breakups in the 18 matches he has played for the team. Being a defender, he does not shy away from going forward and creating chances for the team.
