1. Ibrahim Zadran – Afghanistan’s Zadran has etched his name in history with a record-breaking knock in the 2025 Champions Trophy tournament. During a high stakes encounter against England, the batter played a breathtaking innings. He rewrote the record books with the highest individual score in the tournament’s history so far. The opener scored an impressive177 runs off 146 balls, smashing twelve fours and six sixes, with a fabulous Strike Rate of over 121.

2. Ben Duckett – Ben M. Duckett, an English left-handed top order cricketer has grabbed the second position on the list. His phenomenal knock of 165 not out in 143 balls against arch rivals Australia left the game enthusiasts stunned. With seventeen fours and three sixes, the star batsman’s record of highest individual score was confirmed until Zadran beat him. Duckett’s sublime knock for England however proved to be in vain as they were beaten by Australia with a bitter-sweet victory.

3. Nathan Astle – The third place is occupied by Astle, a former right-handed opener from New Zealand. Astle carried his bat through and played a stellar innings with thirteen fours and six sixes during his power hitting session. His innings of 145 not out in 151 balls faced against USA was the highest individual score by a batsman in the ICC Champions Trophy, scored in the 2004 tournament until it was recently surpassed by Duckett in the 2025 edition.

4. Andy Flower – Holding a tie position with Astle is the former captain of the national team and one of the greatest Zimbabwean cricketers ever, Andrew Flower. His highest score in ODI cricket is the 145 he made against India in the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy. Interestingly, it is also the highest score made by a Zimbabwe player in any tournament, a record unbeaten till date. The fiery knock was a testament of his brilliant batting skills, which had thirteen fours with a strike rate of 88.41 against a formidable Indian side.

5. Sourav Ganguly – India’s very own Bengal Tiger occupies the fifth position for his smashing innings against South Africa in the 2000 ICC Champions Trophy edition. Dada’s 141 not out on 142 balls faced involved eleven fours and six sixes, averaging at a strike rate of around 99. A fearless batter and former captain of the men’s cricket team had played a remarkable innings under pressure and dominated the bowling attack. His century paved the path for India to go and win an important match in Nairobi.
