Tokyo Paralympics 2020 also to be held without spectators: Report

Olympics 2020 was quite successful not only for India in terms of result is concerned but overall in terms of broadcasting is concerned it has gripped lot of eyeballs all over the world.

Achievements in Paralympics Games

After successfully hosting Olympics 2020 behind closed doors, Japanese government will be looking to host Paralympics too using the same procedure as the state is already in Virus state of emergency and will be keen to successfully host Paralympics event which is all set to start from August 24th 2021.

The event will be finished on 8th August 2021 whereas taking about India they will be sending their largest contingents which is 54 in number for the first time in the history of Paralympics will be staring their campaign on 25th August 2021.

However, there are reports that at some of the venues where Paralympics will be held like Shizuoka, central Japan they will allow spectator to witness matches but that number will be limited to under 5000 people which was confirmed by local newspaper.

As per the reports are to believed organizers are still considering inviting school children’s at that venues to visit.

India will be competing in nine different categories in upcoming Paralympics 2020 including two new categories which is introduced in Paralympics for the first time which includes Badminton, Canoeing.

India in last Paralympics 2016 won 4 medals will be looking to win more medals this time.

Deepa Malik who is currently serving as the President of Paralympics Association of India said that this Paralympics 2020 will be the most successful campaign for India so far.

Indian Para Athlete would certainly be looking to repeat the feat of what Indian contingents achieved in recently concluded 2020 where India finished in top 50 position by winning seven medals for the first time in history of Olympics which includes 1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medal.

India came close to winning 2 more medals including Women’s Hockey team who suffered a mere loss against Great Britian in Bronze medal match by 4-3 and Aditi Ashok in golf who finished at fourth position when it mattered the most.
