Three Strikers That Man United Can Consider This January

As things stand, Manchester United are not playing an impressive brand of football. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are struggling in terms of attack. Solskjaer has been unlucky with injuries and so cannot be faulted totally with the club’s current situation. The Red Devils really, however, should have brought in a replacement for Romelu Lukaku who left them to join Inter Milan last summer. Their decision to allow both Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to leave them last summer looks to have been a mistake.

The club must look to bring in a new striker in January in order to bolster the number of goals that they score. The following are three players that they can certainly consider.

1. Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Yes, Ibrahimovic is 38. He however still remains a classy finished and is currently a free agent after having recently finished his stint with LA Galaxy in the US. The Red Devils could find difficulty to recruit a new striker in January and could turn to Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a short-term solution to their woes.

2. Donyell Malen

The 20-year-old is one of the best up and coming talents in the Eredivisie. He has been brilliant in the Dutch League to date and has gone on to score 10 goals from just 11 League games. Malen is a versatile player who can operate across the forward line. He will cost a lot but could fit well into the club’s new approach of investing in up and coming talent rather than buying players who are in their prime.

3. Moussa Dembele

The 23-year-old is a brilliant striker and is perhaps too good to be playing for Lyon at the moment. He has been in stellar form this season and has so far scored 10 goals in the Ligue 1 from just 13 appearances. Dembele would likely be open to a new challenge at this point of his career.
