Three Players Who Made Test debut in Same Year as Virat Kohli But Failed to Make it Big
Virat Kohli, the Indian cricket team captain, made his Test debut on June 20, 2011, against the West Indies at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica. Since then, he has become one of the most successful batsmen in the world, scoring 8,479 runs in 109 Tests at an average of 48.73, with 28 centuries and seven double-hundreds to his name. Kohli has also led India to many famous overseas victories, including their first Test series win in Australia in 2018.
However, three other Indian cricketers who debuted in the same year as Kohli could not make it big. One of them now works as a commentator, while one played his last Test in 2011.
