“There cannot be anything worse than this and we have no sympathy!” – Rahul Tewatia sends a cryptic statement to his team mate Yash Dayal!

Gujarat Titans pacer Yash Dayal was a key member of the side that won the Indian Premier League in its debut season. And last weekend he became a villain to some people when he conceded 30 runs in the final over as Rinku Singh smacked 5 sixes in a row.

Tewatia said that Dayal was definitely backed and supported all the way but no sympathy was shown at all. And the reason for that was the latter’s role during their IPL triumph last season where he took 11 wickets in 9 appearances. “He was one of our main bowlers. We became Champions last season and he played a massive role. He was able to bowl with the new ball as well as in the death overs.” – said Tewatia.

He knows what its like to be in these situations and the 29-year-old mentioned the fact that one match cannot change the capability of the player and also defame his previous achievements. “One match cannot change the fact of what he has done for us. I don’t think anyone in the team has given him any sympathy.”

Rahul also reminded him that there cannot be anything worse than conceding 30 runs in 5 balls and promised the left-arm pacer that no one in the team will ever make fun of it. “If you want to go down then only you can hit the rock bottom otherwise at GT no one will ever make you feel bad about it.
