The final of the Hundred Mens Competition was definitely a nail-biting game. That is because, in the first innings of the match, it looked like Oval Invincibles would lose the match. That is because the score of the Oval Invincibles was 34-5 after 36 balls. It didn’t look like they would be able to win the game. But they managed brilliantly well. They were able to take the game further and form a match-winning partnership. This was definitely the best partnership of the tournament, that is because in a final that is full of pressure getting such a partnership requires a lot of courage and determination. This was not possible without a fantastic partnership of 67 runs.

Quick-fire 67 by Tom Curran
The top order of the Oval Invincibles completely failed. The first wicket fell without any score, and the score was 0-1. The second wicket fell at the score of 15, the third at the score of 28, and finally, the fifth wicket fell at the score of 34. At the time Tom Curran came out to bat on the crease, Neesham was already there 6 balls before him.
They both had a huge amount of pressure on them because it was clear that they would not be able to win the game if a big partnership was not formed between them. That is what they did. They ensured that they went on to perform brilliantly well.
- Neesham and Curran ensured that they both went on to form a strong partnership. For that, they followed the old-school method. As per that, one was supposed to play aggressively, and the other was supposed to rotate the strike rate. This started happening really well because both the players were able to get the boundaries consistently.
