The Hundred Mens Competition 2023: All Round Performance Of Tom Curran Gets Oval Invincibles to Victory

Yesterday’s match of the Hundred Mens Competition 2023,  between Oval Invincibles, and Southern Brave was certainly a very competitive match. Oval Invincibles were able to perform better in both bowling and batting. They showed their brilliant class, by restricting the opponent from achieving the target of 140 runs. But the man who was able to take Oval Invincibles to the score of 139 was Tom Curran. He was certainly able to do the best job with the bat. At the time he came out to bat, his team was struggling. But he ensured to perform well with the lower order, and get some quick runs for the team.

Contribution of Tom Curran:

• Oval Invincibles were the ones who played the first innings. They started fine, but their opening partnership couldn’t stand for long. The first wicket fell on the score of 24. 
• The first four batters of the team were able to reach the double-digit score, but none of them were able to get a big score. 
• Soon, the score was 75-4, and that is when Tom Curran came out to bat. He was not able to get any support from the other end. That is the reason he took most of the strike and attacked the bowlers. 
• He successfully took the team’s score to 139 runs, and in that, he made a vital contribution of 43 runs off only 28 balls. In that, he scored 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Once the target of 140 was given to the Southern Brave, that is when the bowlers of the Oval Invincibles took the responsibility of performing well. And they were able to give a match-winning performance. Tom Curran excelled even as a bowler. You can see his brilliant bowling stats of the match below.

These are certainly brilliant statistics and it turned out to be a match-winning contribution for the team. He really needs to continue his all-round performance for the team.
