Delay of the match on Day 5 due to rain:

When it looked like Australia could lose the match if England was successful in taking the quick wickets. Then the rain arrived to save Australia from losing the test match. Once the rain will stop, then Australia needs to ensure that they utilize as many balls as possible.

On the other hand, the England team is going to have the goal to get the wickets as quickly as possible.

Responsibility for Mitchell Marsh and Cameron Green

Marsh and Green are on the crease, and they both need to stay there for as long as possible. At the same time, they have to rotate the strike consistently, to keep the pressure on the bowlers. In this manner, they both are going to keep up the hope for the Australian team.

Responsibility for James Anderson and Mark Wood

James Anderson is the most experienced bowler on the team, and Mark Wood is looking in great form. Wood has taken 3 wickets till now. The combination of good form and experience can help England to get the next 5 Australian wickets quickly. This is also the right for James Anderson to act as a show-stopper by taking wickets through his experience.

Undoubtedly, if England goes on to take the wickets on time then they’ll be able to level the series, and then the final match is going to be the decider for both the teams.
