T20 World Cup 2023: ‘History Created’, Twiterati extend their wishes on social media after Proteas win against England

There have been many highs and lows throughout the current Women’s T20 World Cup, but the calibre of cricket played in the middle deserves praise.

The Proteas, who played out-of-skin cricket to guarantee their place in the final, are the newest success tale to join the club.

From the first ball, Sune Luus, the captain, displayed superb planning, and her bowling unit helped the team defeat England with ease victory by 5 runs.

The most challenging final will be between South Africa and Australia since these two superb teams will compete for the coveted title against one another.

When the semi-final match between England and South Africa took place, the latter team was considered the favourite, but a mistake in Katherine Brunt’s individual performance cost them 18 overs in the previous match.

Those runs ultimately proved crucial for Africa, which successfully protected them.

When it comes to women’s cricket, Australia is the best team because they have a record seven appearances in championship finals, three of which they have won.

In 2023, they’ll be aiming to increase their domination by capturing a second global championship.
