Chennai Super Kings (CSK) head coach Stephen Fleming has given a big update regarding the injury of former team captain MS Dhoni. He said that MS Dhoni has a problem with his knees but despite this, he is playing.

According to Fleming, this is the reason MS Dhoni comes to bat in the lower order, so that there is not too much pressure on him. MS Dhoni once again played a brilliant innings in the match against Lucknow Super Giants. He finally came to bat and scored an unbeaten 28 runs on 9 balls. Dhoni hit 2 fours and 2 sixes during this period.

MS Dhoni is recovering from a knee injury – Stephen Fleming 

After the match, CSK head coach Stephen Fleming revealed that MS Dhoni’s injury has not completely healed. He also said that the team wants MS Dhoni to bat only for 2-3 overs and make an impact. Fleming said during the press conference, 

MS Dhoni had a knee problem and he is still recovering from it. For this reason, he plays only a few balls, so that he can bat in the best possible manner. When the time comes, he will be made to bat longer but for now, we want him to come for 2-3 overs and play cameos. 

The 34th match of the 17th season of IPL was played between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings. In this match played at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow Super Giants easily defeated Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets. Batting first, Chennai Super Kings scored 176 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Lucknow Super Giants achieved this target in 19 overs by losing only 2 wickets.
