Shock for RCB! this all-rounder may not play in the next match

RCB team

Cricket fans watching the current season of IPL have been hit by the fact that RCB management has not been able to bring the team to a more honorable position. The team had a bad streak as it lost for the fourth straight time during the competition. RCB lost to Mumbai Indians at the home ground of the latter, who had already lost five of their previous six league encounters.

The RCB team is at the moment in the ninth position of the points table. The following opponent of the team will be Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 15. On the other hand, before this match, RCB has encountered an unpleasant moment and it is not sure if the Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will perform due to being injured.

Maxwell suffered an injury on his thumb

According to media reports, Maxwell got a thumb injury perhaps while fielding against Mumbai Indians and he could miss the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Surya Kumar Yadav hit a powerful Akash Deep’s delivery over to the ropes, where Maxwell was placed to take the catch. It seemed that the ball was flying very quickly, making it impossible for Maxwell to catch it and as a result he was injured. He left the field after this incident.

Maxwell is also not contributing by batting this time

In the present edition of IPL, Maxwell’s bat is still deficient of runs and he seems to be trying hard in chasing the runs. Maxwell was out even before he could open his account against Mumbai Indians. This was the 17th time during his IPL career that Maxwell walked back to dugout without any runs on the board. With this, he made an unwanted record in his name. He is the player with the highest number of ducks in the IPL. He equaled Rohit Sharma’s and Dinesh Karthik’s record of getting out on duck the most number of times . He is the first overseas player who got out on ducks so many times in the history of the IPL.

Green can make a comeback

If Maxwell cannot play against Sunrisers Hyderabad, then Cameron Green may get a chance in his place in the playing eleven. Like Maxwell, Green’s performance this season has also not been anything special due to which he did not get a place in the playing XI against Mumbai Indians.
