Pakistan cricket team is currently in the radar due to their dismal performance against host England where the latter defeated the former by 9 wickets chasing the target of 142 runs in 21 overs.

Cricket is a gentlemen’s game but at the same time it is an unpredictable game too where every ball can change the rhythm of the game and that’s exactly happened with Men in Green where England after winning the toss at Cardiff in recently concluded  1st ODI won the toss and elected to field first and England speedster Saqib Mehmood was bang on the point where he clinched two priceless wickets of Imam Ul Haq and World number 1 Odi batsman Babar Azam in his first over.

Pakistan lost their first four wickets in less than 30 runs which created pressure on lower middle-order batsman and eventually, Men in Green bundled out in pressure and they were bowled out on 141 runs in 35 overs.

The worst part for Pakistan national team was that they lost against England B side as the majority of their England player has been exposed with COVID and currently placed under quarantine.

Former Pakistan 1992 world cup winning team member and commentator Ramiz Raza heavily lashed his side as he didn’t expect this dismal performance from his national side.

Raza criticised Shadab Khan as he is a bowling all rounder but his role in the team is still not clear and he wants the all-rounder profile should be similar to what Hardik Pandya have in India limited over squad. Raja stated that he doesn’t understand whether he is a power hitter or saviour. The former great feels that Khan’s power-hitting has gone missing for quite some time and he certainly needs to figure that out.

“I don’t understand Shadab’s batting. What is his role when he comes out to bat? Is he a savior or a power hitter? Today he could have played easily because they had a lot of overs in the bank. But generally, his batting is going through a rusty period. He should have a profile like Hardik Pandya. He is a power hitter who scores quick fifties. Shadab’s power-hitting has completely gone missing which is saddening because he is so young. This should be his peak time. But we don’t see that kind of batting from him and he needs a lot of work. In this batting lineup Shadab has more value as a power hitter,” said Raja on his YouTube channel.
