Her dedication paid off. At 19, she entered the domestic scene with a bang, leading the Kerala U-19 team to third place in the Inter-State T20 competition. Her impressive performance earned her the prestigious title of “Women’s Cricketer of the Year” for Kerala in 2015.
Leadership qualities were embedded in Sajana’s cricketing DNA. She led by example, her skills and determination inspiring her teammates. This was evident when she captained the Kerala U-23 team to victory in the T-20 Super League, not only picking up a staggering 14 wickets but also smashing an unbeaten century.

Challenges still exist. The lack of matches in women’s cricket frustrates her, but she remains focused on the opportunities she has. Her coaches, Elsamma Baby, Anumol Baby, and Shanavas, have played a crucial role in shaping her skills and technique, while David Johnson’s guidance during an IDBI Bowling Foundation Camp proved pivotal in correcting her weaknesses and boosting her confidence.
