Sabbhineni Meghana also known as S. Meghana was born on 7th June, 1996 at Krishna, Andhra Pradesh. Sabbhineni Meghana is a top-order batter for India women’s cricket team.
Sabbhineni Meghana was selected for Andhra Pradesh U-19 team and have represented AP on various state level tournaments.
Sabbhineni Meghana Domestic Career
From the very starting Sabbhineni Meghana made his name for the top batter in Andhra Pradesh team. In 2016, S. Meghna was selected for the senior Zonal Cricket Academy camp. In the whole series, Meghana was second highest top scorer. This achievement earned her first call from national camp.
Sabbhineni Meghana International Career
In 2016 November, Sabbhineni Meghana made her international debut against West Indies. Until now Sabbhineni Meghana has played 10 T20I matches and also scored 114 runs for the team which includes one fifty.
S.Meghana started her International journey on high note but later her poor batting form made her dropped from the national team.
In 2021 Women’s Senior One Day Trophy, Meghana scored a splendid 388 runs in just 6 matches and was highest run-getter in that series. Also made her team, Railways to clinched the title.
In Women’s Senior Challengers One Day Trophy 2021, Meghana again showed her batting skills and scored the most runs for the team as she scored 207 runs in just 4 matches.
Sabbhineni Meghana consistency of scoring runs in big platforms earned her a national call up for the second time and now she expected to be regular player for the Indian Women’s Cricket team.
Sabbhineni Meghana made her Women’s one day international debut on 12th February 2022 against New Zealand.
