According to Red Devils legend Ryan Giggs, Bruno Fernandes will only continue to get better and has lifted the mood and spirits at Old Trafford.

Bruno Fernandes, the Portugal international midfielder has finally been completed a protracted move from Sporting CP to Old Trafford in the January transfer window. The player was linked with Manchester United since the summer transfer window of 2019-20 but the deal couldn’t materialize then. However, Ed Woodward was able to take the deal over the line in January. Manchester United also signed Odion Ighalo, former Watford player, on a loan deal with an option to buy in June on the deadline day of the transfer window.

The 25-year-old Portuguese scored in his third straight game against Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton in the Sunday’s 1-1 draw and has made an instant impact for the fifth-placed Manchester United.

Wales international team gaffer, Ryan Giggs, hailed the impact Bruno Fernandes has made on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad. Ryan Giggs has won 13 Premier League titles as part of a distinguished United career and is counted among the class of 92′ which went on to win the treble in 1999.

Talking to the Sky Sports, Ryan Giggs said:

“He’s a fantastic player. He’s lifted the place, he has lifted everyone around him and it’s still early days,”

I still think he can get even better.

He’s hit the ground running which is what you want – especially [after] signing in the January Transfer Window [because] it doesn’t always happen.

“But he’s fantastic and I’m pleased to see him doing so well.”

Before Ryan Giggs, one of the players who came back from the retirement to give a perfect send-off for Sir Alex Ferguson, Paul Scholes had also hailed the impact of Bruno Fernandes on the Manchester United squad. He also said that he made the football at Old Trafford more watchable from the miserable situations.

With Wayne Rooney set to feature against his old club, Red Devils are back in action at Derby County on Thursday in the FA Cup fifth round.

The question that remains the Manchester United fans is can Bruno Fernandes inspire the Old Trafford based outfit to the Champions League spot or is it the start of a big rebuild under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?
