Rohit Sharma slapped with 3 Traffic challans for over speeding at Mumbai-Pune Expressway

Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian Cricket Team, has reportedly been issued three traffic fines for speeding on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. This incident occurred as the opening batsman was en route to join the Indian team in Pune for their upcoming match against Bangladesh on Thursday, October 19.

It’s worth noting that India has had a strong start in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, securing victories in their first three matches against Australia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. They are now set to face Bangladesh.

Reports indicate that Sharma was driving at speeds exceeding 200 km/h, resulting in three online traffic fines for reckless driving. According to a Pune Mirror report, a member of the traffic department expressed concerns about the Indian captain’s high-speed driving on a busy highway during the World Cup and suggested that he should travel with the team in the team bus, accompanied by a police escort.

The report also mentioned that the Indian skipper was driving a Lamborghini with a license plate bearing his highest ODI score of ‘264’.

Meanwhile, if we talk about his form then he seems quite unstoppable at the moment. Just like the previous edition, Rohit Sharma is India’s leading run scorer with 217 runs in 3 matches, averaging 72.33. During India’s 2nd match against Afghanistan, he smacked a terrific Century followed by 86 off 63.

His form indicates that India are looking strong with some important matches to follow. He will be crucial for India against New Zealand, England and South Africa therefore he must tread with caution at the moment. He has now been advised to move around with the team bus in order to avoid any such thing in future.
