Rohit Sharma Becomes the Second Indian Test Opener to Score a Century in Both Innings of a Test Match

Rohit Sharma on Saturday became the only second Indian test opener after Sunil Gavaskar to score a hundred in both the innings of a test match.

 

He is also the sixth Indian player to score 2 centuries in a test match after Vijay Hazare, Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid, Vinod Kambli and Ajinkya Rahane.

He scored 176 and 127 in the first and second innings of the match respectively with a total aggregate of 303 in the match.

This is the fifth Test century for Rohit Sharma in Tests, he has played 27 tests and 1888 runs at an average of 44.95
