Watch: Riyad Mahrez reveals Fernanindho is leaving Manchester City

In a recent interview, Riyad Mahrez might have spilt the beans which have put the Manchester City board in a fix situation.  In a recent video, Riyad Mahrez might have said which no Manchester City fan wants to listen to.

In a video featuring Riyad Mahrez and Benjamin Mendy, when a question was asked to Mahrez that who will be leaving the club at the end of the season, the obvious answer would be David Silva.  However, the name of David Silva was followed by Fernandinho. The expression of Benjamin Mendy in the video says it

The Brazilian midfielder was signed by Manchester City back in 2014 for a fee worth £34 million. In the due course of his contract, the player has not only formed the spine of the Manchester City midfield but also played a pivotal role in their successive Premier League glory.

The contract of the player is set to run down in summer and there is no movement on his contract. In a recent interview, Fernandinho said;

I always say I’ll play until my mind will allow me to play

When I feel happy and motivated to play every day this is important. To train happy and fresh everyday so until I don’t feel like this, I will play, but I don’t want to say until 37, 38…40; we shall see.

I think at the end of the season we are going to decide on the situation.

“The players who finished their contracts, the players with full contracts, what we have to do is what we believe is the best for the club and organisation for next season.”

Recently, Vincent Kompany left the club in the summer transfer window to his boyhood club. The club are still unable to plug the hole left by Kompany. It remains interesting to see can the Blues fill the void if Fernandinho decides to leave the club at the end of the season.
