CSK landed in UAE on 21st August 2020, followed which they served 6-day quarantine period. On Friday, the franchise dealt with a real blow as Deepak Chahar and 12 support staff members tested positive for Covid-19.

As a result, the team has been told to extend their quarantine period for one more week. Only after testing positive in the next two texts, CSK can enter the bio bubble.

To add to their misery, Suresh Raina has also pulled out of the IPL 2020. As per the report, Raina’s uncle died in a house attack at Pathankot’s Thariyal village. Raina has already left for India and won’t be a part of CSK in this year’s IPL. Suresh Raina is the second-highest run-getter in the tournament and most capped player for CSK in IPL history.

The Indian Premier League is scheduled to kick start on 19th September 2020, while the final will be played on 10th November 2020.
